Hey check me out!

Corn on the cob is the best!! You would NOT believe how fast he can chomp one down! OH, and he must have those little corn cob holders that you jam into the ends of the cob. They last about half way thru and then because of the sheer force of him gnawing on the corn and tugging on the corn holders at the same time, one of them is bound to pop out and send the corn cob flying!

Okay, okay, so I realize that he's almost 2 and a half now, but hey, I'm a full time working Mom (yes they made me come back full time again due to company layoffs - ugh), so there is no time for professional pictures anymore! So I say better late then never on the 2 year pictures.

So we bought a new chopper-style tricycle for Ryan back in June and he is still trying to get the hang of it! Here he is "helping" Daddy put it together.

Ryan got a new water and sand table back in May to play with at the marina. Fun fun!

Ryan just loves having his buddy Jayden over to play. This time they were playing Ring around the Rosey. Even though they know every word of the song, they seem to just focus on the falling down part! Boys will be boys they say!

Thomas came to town!

Thomas the Tank Engine came to real life at Greenfield Village and Ryan really enjoyed his day there with his buddy Jayden. There were toy trains to play with, train tattoos to sit for, a real ride in the coach behind Thomas, and a carousel to truly freak him out! What a great day!

First Tricycle Ride!

Ryan's buddy Jayden has a tricycle and when he brought it over recently Ryan was eyeballing it, so we decide to let him try it out too! He was very focused!

Okay, okay, whatever you want!

Evenings are getting to be "crabby time" for the little man. Maybe it's the full time daycare thing that is tiring him out... maybe it's the terrible twos. Regardless, this particular night Ryan absolutely did NOT want to sit in his booster seat at the dinner table, so to avoid a meltdown we let him eat at his table in his "big boy" chair. All of a sudden everything was right with the world again. Whew! Whatever it takes!

Easter Bunny!

Of course we couldn't experience Easter without that famous bunny stopping by our house. Too bad Ryan was napping when he came by.... ha ha!




Ryan went to two egg hunts and got a basket from the Easter Bunny! We found that he likes to give his candy away to other people. (bonus for Mommy!) Here he is showing you his new stickers too.

Happy Birthday!

March brought Ryan's 2nd birthday around already! Where have the two years gone. He had a party at daycare and then cake & ice cream at home that night.

Where have we been?

Okay, so it's been over a month since I last posted! Mommy has had to go back to work full time (due to recent layoffs at her company and a directive from upper mgmt), which means poor Ryan goes to "school" full time now too. So, needless to say, we've all been a little crabby! Life is still good though and here are more pics to prove it!!! :-)

Florida!

The end of February brought a much needed getaway to Grandma & Grandpa's house in Florida. Ryan felt right at home at their place and had a great time while Mommy & Daddy took a weekend getaway. Ryan saw "nemos" and sharks at the aquarium, went swimming, and hit the beach too.
